Urban Resource Institute’s PALS program was featured on NBC News. PALS, which stands for People and Animals Living Safely, addresses a critical but underreported fact about domestic violence shelters: 50% of survivors would not consider staying at a shelter if they couldn’t bring their pet. 

CEO Nathaniel Fields and Chief of Staff Jennifer White-Reid spoke to the importance of this groundbreaking initiative.
