Rebecca Kim

Rebecca Kim is a seasoned media strategist with nearly 20 years of communications experience in both the nonprofit and corporate sectors. In addition to leading national media campaigns for some of the most renowned cultural institutions in the country, Rebecca has forged partnerships with corporations, sports and entertainment brands and arts institutions on behalf of those she’s worked for. 

Rebeca most recently held the position of Press Director of the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center, overseeing communications and promotions of the institution’s mainstage performances, Live in HD broadcasts, executive leadership and more. Prior to joining the Met, she served as Vice President at public affairs firm SKDK, where her clients included Mount Sinai Health System, the Mellon Foundation, Actors’ Equity Association, The Shed, ChargePoint, California Pizza Kitchen, the Walton Family Foundation, Shine International and Plan International USA.  

She held leadership positions with both the Development and Marketing teams at Jazz at Lincoln Center, as the Associate Director of Partnerships & Corporate Sponsorships and Assistant Director of Public Relations & External Communications for Jazz at Lincoln Center. She worked with various teams to promote outreach and awareness for concerts, musicians, education and advocacy programs, all with the underlying message that jazz is a metaphor for democracy.  

She has also led national publicity campaigns for brands like Foot Locker, Oakley and G.H. Mumm. Rebecca started her career at American Ballet Theatre where she managed press efforts for the company, its artists and the company’s performances in New York and on tour nationally and internationally.  

Rebecca is a born and bred New Yorker. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Boston College.
