Jamila Dawkins

Jamila graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) with a degree in English and a concentration in nonfiction writing.

Before becoming The TASC Group’s spring intern, she was a managing editor for WashU’s independent student newspaper, Student Life. She also worked as the Philanthropy Chair and Co-Publicity Chair for Black Anthology, WashU’s longest running student-run cultural show.

When she’s not scrambling copious amounts of eggs, she enjoys thrifting and wire-wrapping.

What show and/or movie have you recently seen that you would recommend?
Watching the season finale of the first season of Severance was the most alive I’ve felt in years.


If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Jamaican meatloaf.


What song do you currently have on repeat?
“No Easy Way Down” by Dusty Springfield.


What do you like to do in your spare time?
Make jewelry and collect little tea mugs (to store my jewelry in).
