MONICA LAVIN
Monica, a native of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of New Hampshire. Since graduating in 2020, she’s been living in downtown Manhattan.
Before joining the TASC Group, Monica worked in event planning at the iconic New York City venue Gotham Hall. During her time in the events space she worked alongside numerous nonprofit organizations. Some notable groups included the UN Foundation, Joe Torre Foundation, Renew Democracy Initiative and the International Rescue Committee.
Monica is proud to serve as Chief of Staff at The TASC Group, where she plays a pivotal role in driving the firm’s mission to create social impact through strategic communications. She works alongside the leadership team to ensure team efficiency and cohesion and align organizational priorities with client goals. She is particularly passionate about building authentic, purposeful connections with TASC’s clients and the communities they serve. Monica thrives in the dynamic, fast-paced world of public relations, where no two days are the same.
What do you love most about working in public relations?
My passion for current events makes PR especially exciting for me. I love staying up to date on what’s happening in the world and how it impacts our media trends, public opinion and ultimately our clients. Keeping up with current events helps with anticipating challenges and positioning our clients in ways that resonate with the public.

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love Greek food!
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love long-distance running, traveling, beach walks (weather permitting), spending time with friends and family and exploring new restaurants around the city!
