SHEFA GIASH

Shefa is a graduate of The City College of New York (CCNY), where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. 

Previously, she served as a Public Relations Intern in the luxury travel practice at FINN Partners. As President of CCNY’s American Advertising Federation (AAF) chapter, Shefa developed strong leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience in event planning, team management, and strategic communications. 

What do you love most about working in public relations?

What I find most rewarding about public relations is the overall project cycle. I love taking an initial concept and developing it into a fully realized project. This entire journey captivates me. From the initial idea and thorough research to crafting pitches and sending them to the media.

Witnessing these ideas expand into actual coverage is the most rewarding part of the process for me.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Eggs. They’re so versatile. It doesn’t help that I eat them almost every day.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my free time, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga and feeding stray cats.
